Collie is South West’s secret no more with a four-page spread in the RAC’s Horizon magazine, which is distributed to members across the state.
Tania Connolly, a writer for the magazine, travelled to the Collie River Valley to soak up the crisp, fresh air and explore the many picturesque day-tripping and camping spots, trails and parks.
Tania explored Collie’s rich coal mining and railway history, as well as the brand new facilities including a brand new art gallery, and the brightly coloured Central Park Water and Adventure Playground in the centre of town.
Of course, every day trip has obligatory breaks to eat and drink, and Collie certainly doesn’t disappoint, with a range of options from BYO picnic areas, great pub food, to the idyllic winery just out of town.
And if you have an RAC membership card, you could save big. Browse through the Membership Benefits page for members-only benefits at participating local businesses.
Why not come and see for yourself? Collie is an easy drive from Perth and will have you coming back for more.
