Collie is located 202km south-east of Perth and 58km inland from Bunbury.

Self-drive

From Perth, the Kwinana Freeway leads onto the Forrest Highway. Travel south for 158km, then take the turn off onto Raymond Road, head east for 6km and turn left at the South West Highway, then right onto the Coalfields Highway. Collie is another 38km along the Coalfields Highway. Travelling time is approximately two hours 10 minutes.

If you take this route be aware that it is approximately 130km from Perth city before the next fuel stop unless you leave the freeway/highway and detour into one of the towns along the route.

Alternatively, take the scenic South West Highway through Armadale, Byford, Serpentine, and the quaint country towns of Pinjarra, Waroona, Yarloop, Harvey and Brunswick Junction before joining the Coalfields Highway through to Collie. Travelling time is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.

Public transport

Public Transport to and from Collie is available with TransWA and South West Coach Lines. Tickets for Transwa and South West Coach Lines can be purchased at the Collie Visitor Centre. Eftpos facilities are available. Luggage may be left at the Collie Visitor Centre (but not overnight).

TransWA

From East Perth to Pemberton via Bunbury/COLLIE/Boyup Brook/Bridgetown:

Service 321 departs East Perth Terminal on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12.15pm, travelling via Bunbury, to arrive at the Collie Visitor Centre at 3.55pm.

From Pemberton to East Perth via Bunbury/COLLIE/ Boyup Brook:

Service 322 departs Collie Visitor Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10.20am, travelling via Bunbury, to arrive at East Perth Terminal at 2.00pm.

South West Coach Lines

No longer has a service directly to and from Collie, however you can still travel between Perth and Bunbury.

South West Coachlines departs from the Elizabeth Quay Bus Port at 3 Mounts Bay Road Perth and runs via Perth Airport’s domestic and international terminals at 7.30am, 1.20pm and 6.45pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), arriving at the Bunbury Bus Station at  10.30am, 4.25pm and 9.40pm.

South West Coachlines departs Bunbury Bus Station and travels via Perth Airport’s domestic and international terminals at 8.30am, 1.50pm  Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays), arriving at Perth Elizabeth Quay Bus Port at 11.45am and 5.00pm.

There is an afternoon bus that departs the Bunbury Bus Station at 6.20pm Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays), travelling into Perth Terminus at 8.30pm.
