Collie gardeners have until the end of this week to be in the running for a prize in the annual Keeping Up Appearances Garden Competition.
Local gardeners are encouraged to enter their efforts in a range of categories, including whole garden, new garden under three years, small garden, water-wise garden, edible garden, child’s garden, public or school garden.
Competition organiser Nola Green encouraged gardeners to enter despite the unseasonal weather conditions.
“Don’t be put off by this year’s weird weather,” said Mrs Green. “We all live in the same Shire and get the same weather, so put your entry in.”
Entry is $10 per garden, $5 for children’s gardens.
Download an entry form or pick up a hard copy from the Shire of Collie office, library or Mick Murray’s office. Entries must be submitted by 4pm, Friday, 6 October 2017.
