Community Chess Club makes its move

Often considered the ultimate game of strategy, playing chess is great way to exercise the most important muscle in our body – the brain.

Brush up on your strategy or learn some new tactics at the Community Chess Club’s weekly sessions for chess lovers of all levels of experience, starting this week.

Playing chess is a great way to promote brain growth, spark creativity, increase problem-solving skills, teach planning and foresight and optimise memory.

The Chess Club meets at 3.30pm on Thursdays at the Collie Public Library, finishing around 4.30-5pm, depending on games in progress.

The Club is supervised by an adult and is free for all ages and skill levels.

If you’d like more information, or to register your interest, call Chrissy on 0408 545 545, visit Community Chess Club on Facebook, or contact the Collie Public Library on 9734 9029.
