Collie’s big arty party continues

There’s still a few days left to celebrate all things arty and craft with Collie’s FESTIV ARTY.

See the talent of local artisans and artists on display at the Collie Art Gallery and Co-Op Building in Steere St. Vote for your favourite piece in the People’s Choice.

The Coalfields Museum is opening its doors with A Night at the Museum, on Thursday from 5.30pm. If you haven’t had a chance to see the improvements at the museum, this is the perfect opportunity.

And the final workshops are being conducted with Memoir Writing at the Collie Public Library and two weaving workshops at the Co-Op Building.

The Street Art Installation continues, as well as author talks at the Collie Public Library.

The festival is made possible thanks to generous sponsorship from the Collie Community Bank branch of the Bendigo Bank, Griffin Coal, the Coal Miners’ Welfare Board and the Shire of Collie.

Visual Arts category sponsors include Central Garage, Western Forest Management, Southern Cross Austereo, Freo Group, Colin Holt MLC, Collie River Valley Medical Centre, Whispering Pines, Crank n Cycles, and South32.

FESTIV ARTY runs until 15 September, with full details at festivarty.com.
