The Shire of Collie’s Australia Day celebrations will be held this year at the new Central Park on Forrest Street, Collie, and will include the traditional award ceremony as well as an evening of free family entertainment.
The Australia Day Parade, Award Ceremony and breakfast activities are set to commence at 7am. Those marching in the parade will assemble in front of Collie River Valley Medical Centre in Harvey Street, while spectators can listen to music playing at Central Park. The Lions of Collie will be cooking up a storm with breakfast available for $5 per person immediately after the official proceedings.
Bring the family back to Central Park for an evening of free family entertainment from 6pm, including giant board games, face painting, a bouncy castle, live music and much more.
Paper Planes, an Australian G rated movie starring Sam Worthington, Ed Oxenbould and Deborah Mailman, will screen at 7.45pm.
