The Collie Community Bank branch of the Bendigo Bank celebrated two significant milestones with a sundowner at the Collie Art Gallery last week.
The Collie Community Bank has been in operation in the Collie community for 15 years and has so far returned $5 million in banking profits to the communities. The branch now also boasts two agencies in Darkan and Boyup Brook and has recently refurbished its Collie branch.
The Collie Community Bank partners with Bendigo and Adelaide bank to provide a full suite of banking services, while returning a large proportion of profits to community projects, including infrastructure, services and capacity building.
Chairperson Jeff Riley said that the bank was proud of its commitment to the community, and it would continue to invest in its future.
“Our aim was to ensure that Collie continued to have face-to-face banking services and a branch manager in town,” Mr Riley said.
“We have been very lucky to have had extremely dedicated and hardworking people working towards a common goal, and we should all be very proud of what we have achieved.”
“I’d like to thank our Directors and staff, past and present, for all they have done for this business over the years, as well as our loyal customers,” Mr Riley said.
