Australian country singing legend John Williamson is playing a benefit gig in Collie in support of Griffin workers, their families and the Collie community.
John Williamson has offered to play for free in between gigs on his current tour to help give the community and businesses a morale boost, after the Griffin Community Protest group wrote to him, outlining the recent decision by the Fair Work Commission to quash Griffin Coal/Lanco workers’ enterprise bargaining agreement.
So get your dancing shoes on, tune in your singing voices and head on down to the rotunda to cheer the big man on. We hope you are all as excited as we are.
The benefit gig starts at 12 noon at the Central Park Rotunda on Forrest Street, Collie.
John Williamson is also playing at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Thursday evening. Get tickets here.
