Have you ever wanted to have a go at BMX? Now is your chance.

Kids and parents of all ages can experience the action and excitement of BMX racing and see what it’s all about, at a Come & Try Day being held Saturday, 6 May, from 10am until 12 noon.

If you can ride a bike, why not head down and learn the basics of BMX racing – Australia’s newest Olympic sport.

Accredited coaches and experienced parents will be on hand to have a chat and answer your questions.

You will need to be wearing long pants, long sleeves, fully covered shoes with socks, a helmet (normal bike helmet is sufficient) and gloves (such as gardening gloves).

Registration is at 10am. All ages are welcome.

Spectator entry is free. Full canteen facilities available.

Collie Adventure Race 2017 @ Minninup Pool

The Adventure race event is based at the picturesque Minninup Pool on the Collie River and uses trails in the surrounding jarrah forest.

It’s a multi-staged relay race consisting of a canoe leg, mountain bike ride, swim, road bike ride and a run.

Registrations will open in May 2017. 
Fields will be capped at 50 Ironman and 60 teams.

Saturday: Long Course
Sunday: Short Course

The race can be done as a team or by individuals.

Categories are:

  • Open Teams
  • Female Teams
  • Veteran Teams (Veterans are 35 or over for women, 40 for men)
  • Female Veteran Teams
  • Super Veteran Teams (Average age of team must be 50 or over)
  • Juniors (Under 18)
  • Ironman
  • Ironwomen
