Come & Try Day @ Collie BMX Track

Have you ever wanted to have a go at BMX? Now is your chance.

Kids and parents of all ages can experience the action and excitement of BMX racing and see what it’s all about, at a Come & Try Day being held Saturday, 6 May, from 10am until 12 noon.

If you can ride a bike, why not head down and learn the basics of BMX racing – Australia’s newest Olympic sport.

Accredited coaches and experienced parents will be on hand to have a chat and answer your questions.

You will need to be wearing long pants, long sleeves, fully covered shoes with socks, a helmet (normal bike helmet is sufficient) and gloves (such as gardening gloves).

Registration is at 10am. All ages are welcome.

Spectator entry is free. Full canteen facilities available.

Tom Lowry Memorial Weekend @ Collie Motorplex

The annual Tom Lowry Memorial Road Cycling Race is being held Sunday, 7 May 2017, in Collie, starting and finishing at the Collie Motorplex. Registration will be from 9.30am and race starting at 11.30am.

There will also be a Saturday afternoon criterium with registration from 10am and the race beginning at 12pm.

Collie, the cycling capital of Western Australia, hosts the CFMEU Lowry Memorial Road Cycling Classic in May each year.

The Tom Lowry Memorial weekend is in it’s 75th year and is unprecedented in Australian cycling that a cycling event would be supported by a single sponsor for its entirety.

The event is free for spectators. Registration fees apply for cyclists. Registration from 10am, racing starts at 11.30am.

Seniors:
Criterium $40 (Saturday)
Tom Lowry $60
Both events $90

Juniors:
Criterium (Saturday) $30
