Road bikes leave at 7.00am for a 30km road ride on Saturday mornings.

GROUP MTB RIDE leaves at 3pm (suitable for “semi-experienced” beginners to fitter riders) Saturday afternoon and 6pm Wednesday evening.

Bikes must be in good working order and have a head lamp/light and riders must wear helmets.

Collie Country Markets @ Showgrounds Pavillion

The Agricultural Markets have many stalls displaying such goods as fresh produce, homewares, books, CD’s, DVD’s, toys, jewellery, accessories, baked goods and much more.

The kitchen is open with sausage sizzle, tea, coffee and cool drinks all available to purchase.

Proceeds from the markets assist the Collie Agricultural Society.

What’s better on a cold winter’s day than hot soup and great company. Well why not go along and support the ladies at the Collie CWA and enjoy a delicious lunch of soup, sandwiches and tea and coffee for just $11.

There is also a door prize, raffle and stalls of craft items and cakes.

If you can’t make it this month, don’t worry, the ladies have the luncheons on the third Tuesday of every month!

SATURDAY: TAKE THE WINDY ROAD TO COLLIE

Come and see for yourself Collie’s passion for all things motorsports during the Collie Motorcycle Festival, being held 23-24 September 2017.

The Shire of Collie and local motoring enthusiasts decided to give Ulysses Club members a warm country-style welcome when it was discovered they were planning to hold their annual Odyssey in the South West town of Collie.

TEST AND TUNE DAY

The Historic Competition Motorcycle Club is getting warmed up for its State Championships at the Collie Motorplex with a test and tune day from 9am.

Come and check out the action on the track, with free entry for spectators.

COUNTRY-STYLE PUB ENTERTAINMENT

Three local pubs will be serving country-style pub grub and live entertainment.

SUNDAY: CELEBRATE IN CENTRAL PARK

ULYSSES PROCESSION

Hundreds of Ulysses Club members will rumble through a 32-kilometre procession through the town of Collie and surrounds, finishing up in Forrest Street for a motorcycle display.

SUNDAY MARKET

A motoring-focussed Sunday Market is being held in Collie’s Central Park from 8am-3pm.

  • Men’s Shed and railway displays
  • Remote-control car racing display
  • Live music
  • Food and drink for sale
  • Children’s entertainment
FREE MOTORCYCLE TRAINING

Rider Ride, presented by Dave Wright of the Motorcycle Riders Association of WA, focuses on rider safety.

Rider Down, presented by Janine Nicholas, teaches correct life-saving first aid immediately following an accident.

The training sessions on Sunday at the Collie PCYC are being provided free of charge to the public.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Historic Competition Motorcycle Club State Championships kick off from 9am with qualifiers, followed by racing. The Championships continue from 9am on Monday.

SUPPORT ROYAL FLYING DOCTOR SERVICE

Gold coin donations, raffles, and a stall selling donated motorcycle gear throughout the Collie Motorcycle Festivalwill raise much-needed funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Donations of your unwanted motorcycle gear are greatly appreciated.

A limited-edition mounted poster of World Superbike Champion Jonathan Rhea donated by Kawasaki Australia, and a pair of Alpine Feel TKR3 Sentir headphones are up for grabs in raffles to be held on the Sunday morning.
