Whether you are experienced, semi-experienced or beginner there’s a variety of rides, with both road and mountain bike cyclists catered for. Join the groups departing from Crank’n Cycles store on Steere Street.

Road bikes leave at 7.00am for a 30km road ride on Saturday mornings.

GROUP MTB RIDE leaves at 3pm (suitable for “semi-experienced” beginners to fitter riders) Saturday afternoon and 6pm Wednesday evening.

Bikes must be in good working order and have a head lamp/light and riders must wear helmets.

Crank’n Cycles hire bikes if you would like to join one of the groups but don’t have a bike as yet. Contact the store directly for availability and prices.

Children’s Day @ Roche Park

To celebrate Children’s week the Early Years Network of Collie are holding a free event with face painting, petting zoo, balloon twisting, bouncy castle and puppet show.

Collie Country Markets @ Showgrounds Pavillion

The Agricultural Markets have many stalls displaying such goods as fresh produce, homewares, books, CD’s, DVD’s, toys, jewellery, accessories, baked goods and much more.

The kitchen is open with sausage sizzle, tea, coffee and cool drinks all available to purchase.

Proceeds from the markets assist the Collie Agricultural Society.

November 4th Markets – there will be an information desk for the Collie Show and entries can also be submitted. A free “recycled materials” workshop will also be running for the kids.

 

Our Community Garden Open Day @ Our Community Garden Collie
Nov 4 @ 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm

Come along to the Community Garden in Collie and meet the members and see what they have been doing in the gardens.

Learn about growing vegetables and have a lovely afternoon tea for a gold coin donation, while listening to some live local talent.

There will also be plants for sale, raffle, kids activities (rock painting and build a scarecrow).

The Collie Show is once again looking to be a great day of fun and entertainment for all the family culminating in a great fireworks display.

For the adults there is cooking demos, bucking bull and live music all afternoon.

For the kids there will be a petting zoo, face painting, kids workshops.

Show favourites, show bags, side-show-alley will be open from 10am, market stalls and equestrian events and much, much more!

What’s better on a cold winter’s day than hot soup and great company. Well why not go along and support the ladies at the Collie CWA and enjoy a delicious lunch of soup, sandwiches and tea and coffee for just $11.

There is also a door prize, raffle and stalls of craft items and cakes.

If you can’t make it this month, don’t worry, the ladies have the luncheons on the third Tuesday of every month!
