A new exciting motorsport event, West Cape Classic – Tarmac Challenge, is hitting the roads this April for a special weekend of driving skills and social enjoyment, testing man and machine in competition stages including circuits, closed-road sprints, hill climbs, motorkhanas and much more.
The three-day event starts at Kwinana Motorplex on Friday, 27 April, traversing the spectacular South West roads over the weekend including Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup, Margaret River and Collie before returning to Claremont Showgrounds on Sunday afternoon.
There’s plenty of downtime with lunches every day plus dinner functions in different and unique locations on each of the four nights, including a finale awards presentation on the Sunday evening.
Event director Peter Kay said it was a pleasure to be teaming up with Paul Blank who has many years of experience with classic cars and rallies around the country.
“The West Cape Classic is the fulfilment of a dream to conduct this unique motorsport event in such a special part of WA,” Mr Kay said.
Entries are now open for competitors in several categories, including Driver, Co-Driver and Tour class. There is a partner pack available for each car so drivers can bring their partner to join in the event, receive a merchandise pack and be part of all social functions.
Those that register and pay to participate in the West Cape Classic – Tarmac Challenge before 28 February go into the draw to win the early bird prize of a trip for two to the glamorous Monaco Historic Grand Pix, including four nights’ accommodation in Nice and transfers to Monaco for the race.
Expressions of interest are also being called for volunteers, spectators and sponsors.
