Get counting the cockies

Are you keen to be part of the Great Cocky Count? It’s an annual survey of black cockatoos held in April.

If you’d like to learn more about the amazing black cockatoos and their biology, ecology, behaviour and threats, head along to a Great Cocky Count workshop being held at the Donnybrook Community Library on Thursday, 1 March, at 6-7.30 pm.

You will also be instructed on how to take part in the survey.

Survey participants will help build knowledge on where and how to protect these vulnerable birds.

RSVPs are essential as numbers are strictly limited.

For more information on the Great Cocky Count, or to RSVP for the workshop, contact Jen Mitchell at the South West Catchments Council.
